Severe Bleeding Control

1.5 million people will die annually from blood loss as a result of physical trauma. The Severe Bleeding Control course at CPR Seattle (content comparable to the Stop the Bleed program) will provide you with the information and skills you need to control severe external bleeding and potentially save a life. Students will learn about the physiology of bleeding and will practice applying direct pressure, pressure bandages, tourniquets, and packed dressings to stop hemorrhage in a patient. Students will get a chance for extensive practice in the use of a variety of tools for bleeding control. There are no required prerequisites to attend the Severe Bleeding Control course, but basic first aid knowledge is recommended.

If you would like a certification card for completing the course and a complimentary ebook, select the option when enrolling; there is a $10.00 fee for the card.

However, CPR Seattle will do everything possible to ensure that the student is confident with the course material and has extra opportunities to practice and retest. In addition to other possible options, the student is welcome to take the class again at no additional charge.
