Wilderness First Aid

This Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is offered in partnership with our sister organization, Backcountry Medical Training. The 17-hour intensive program is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone seeking advanced first aid skills or improved disaster preparedness for urban emergencies. Upon successful completion, participants will earn a two-year Wilderness First Aid certification, as well as a Washington State-approved Epinephrine Autoinjector & Anaphylaxis Training Certificate.

Meet some of our Wilderness First Aid staff!

CPR Requirement
A current lay-rescuer adult CPR certification is required before the start of the WFA course. CPR Seattle offers a discounted CPR class ($29 for Adult CPR/AED) for all enrolled Wilderness First Aid students to help meet this requirement.

Cornet Bay Retreat Center, April 4 & 5: Lodging is included in the price of this course. The Retreat Center has a total of 4 communal bunk rooms, 14 toilets, and 12 showers. Camping is allowed: the lodging fee applies to those who choose to pitch a tent.
